Mission Statement
The Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus is dedicated to sharing the gift of music by producing a professional musical product, enriching the lives of its members and the community through performance and education in a cappella music.
The Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus was founded in 2000 with just five members and has grown to over 50 singers. Members come from all across the region and all walks of life. Our common bond is our love of a cappella four-part harmony. The chorus repertoire includes music ranging from hits of Broadway and movies to pop, traditional ballads, and seasonal favorites. Our aim is to entertain our audiences with a variety of music and energy-packed performances!
As a chapter of Region 25 of Sweet Adelines International (SAI), we compete annually and participate in educational opportunities with other SAI choruses from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas, and Missouri. Two years after our founding, Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus placed first in the small chorus division, and since then has won six Regional championships! In March 2025, we won first place in our division and first place overall, qualifying for the October 2026 International competition in Columbus Ohio, marking our 6th time on the international stage. With expert musical and performance direction and coaching, we have placed as high as 12th in the world among 500+ choruses.
As much as we love competing, performance is the primary focus of the Talk of Tulsa. We present local stage shows and enjoy performing at various events in Tulsa and surrounding communities. We can provide any number of singers and a varied repertoire suitable for your event and venue. Our high energy interactive performances enhance any occasion.
